Wipro Infotech, the India, Middle East and Africa, IT Business Unit of Wipro Ltd, and a provider of IT and business transformation services has announced that it has been selected by the Government of Rajasthan as the Implementation Agency for enabling the Rajasthan State portal through the implementation of e-Form applications, State Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) and associated computing infrastructure for Rajasthan State.
According to the agreement, Wipro will design, develop, deploy and manage for a period of three years, the e-Form applications hosted on the state portal for delivering citizen services to the masses. Wipro would also be responsible for deploying and managing the State Service Delivery Gateway for accessing these services through Common Service Centers. In addition, Wipro would be responsible for installation, commissioning and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and training identified users.
The State Portal and the Service Delivery Gateway formulated under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) aim to provide easy and convenient access to Government services (both Informational and Transactional) for the common man. With this, the Rajasthan government would be able to provide a single window interface for accessing all citizen services, anytime and anywhere.

This win is the fourth in a series of wins for Wipro from state governments for implementing SSDG projects. All the contracts were the result of a competitive bidding process involving Indian and multinational service providers.
