Quick Heal Technologies, a developer of IT security products under the Quick Heal Brand, has announced the release of its enterprise security products, Quick Heal Admin Console 4.0 for managing desktop security centrally from the administrator’s desk, and Quick Heal protection for Microsoft Exchange server 2000 and 2003 for protecting mails.

Installation: Installation of clients can be done in five different ways viz. Client Packager, internally through e-mail, remote installation, Web-based installation and login script (for domain).
Summary: Summary is available in pie-chart and tabular format and provides information about the number of clients deployed, on-line and off-line; number of unprotected computers in the network; number of clients up-to-date, not updated since three days and not updated since last week and not updated for last 15 days and recent threat incidents reported from the network.
Threat Meter: With the help of the threat meter, the administrator can know the current level of threat in the network. It can be normal, elevated, high alert or critical.
Group and Policy: The administrator can create various groups like administrators, directors, users, and guests etc. According to the group, the administrator can create different policies permitting access level of Quick Heal settings or control to specific users.
Data Theft Protection: With Quick Heal Admin Console 4.0, the administrator can block access to all removable drives like pen drives and other USB storage media across the network. It helps to protect the company’s sensitive and confidential data being copied to such removable media without authorisation.
Update: A centrally deployed tool that can be configured to download all updates from a dedicated update server, it constantly monitors for new updates of Quick Heal and automatically downloads them as and when they are available. It pushes the latest downloaded update to all the clients automatically.
Disconnect infected clients: The administrator can disconnect any infected clients from the network in case of viral infections detected on a specific computer. This will enable the administrator to quarantine the source of infection and pro-actively protect his network.
Saves time and bandwidth: Bandwidth is saved with the help of central updates. Quick Heal leads to time saving by allowing control of most options centrally.
