Enhancing its platform for the enterprise and the cloud, Oracle has announced that it continues to drive innovation across its components of the Oracle Fusion Middleware, including Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Identity Management and Oracle Data Integration.
With 125,000 customers from across all verticals, Oracle needed to enable them to create and run agile, intelligent business applications while maximising IT efficiency through full utilisation of modern hardware and software architectures.

Oracle WebCenter is the engagement platform for customers, employees and partners. It connects people and information by bringing together the portfolio of portal, web experience management, content, social, and collaboration technologies into a single integrated product suite. Available since May, the latest version of Oracle WebCenter Sites claims to drive customer acquisition and brand loyalty by simplifying the creation, management and optimisation of interactive and social experiences.
Part of Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Event Processing (OEP) is a solution for building applications to filter, correlate and process events in real-time so that downstream applications, service oriented architectures and event-driven architectures are driven by true, real-time intelligence. Oracle Process Accelerators, pre-built, best practices processes, further help simplify and accelerate time-to-value for customers’ business process management initiatives.
Oracle Data Integration claims to deliver a complete and modern solution for integrating data continuously, pervasively, and accurately across technologies, as well as third-party systems. With the recent release of Oracle GoldenGate 11g Release 2, Oracle made major enhancements in performance, manageability, efficiency and reliability, to its comprehensive real-time data integration solution. Oracle GoldenGate 11g Release 2 features support for high-volume systems, global implementations and heterogeneous platforms, while enhancing data capture and security. Oracle Data Integrator is a critical element in Oracle’s big data offerings, helping customers to efficiently load and transform unstructured data using technologies including Hadoop, MapReduce and HDFS.
In July, Oracle announced the next evolution of the Oracle Identity Management platform −Oracle Identity Management 11g Release 2 − with features optimized to simplify identity lifecycle management and secure the new digital experience from any device for all enterprise resources both within and beyond the firewall. To help ease adoption for customers and partners, Oracle Identity Management 11g Release 2 brings together Oracle’s entire portfolio of Identity Management offerings, consolidating them into three main categories – Oracle Identity Governance, Oracle Access Management and Oracle Directory Services. Additionally, this year Oracle announced Oracle Privileged Account Manager, delivering highly-secure and simplified management and control to sensitive shared accounts such as DBA and root, which typically provide access to elevated privileges and highly sensitive information.
Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF) is a standards-based, strategic framework for Oracle Fusion Applications and Oracle Fusion Middleware. Oracle ADF is an end-to-end Java EE framework that simplifies application development by providing out-of-the-box infrastructure services and a visual and declarative development experience. Based on a next-generation hybrid mobile development architecture, the new Oracle ADF Mobile is an HTML5 and Java-based framework for developing mobile applications and is being previewed at Oracle OpenWorld. Part of the Oracle Cloud, Oracle Developer Cloud Service gives customers a complete development platform for managing the lifecycle of their applications in a collaborative way, with services that include source control, issue tracking, and build automation, all provisioned in the cloud.
Oracle WebLogic Server 12c caters to conventional systems, engineered systems and cloud environments and the underlying application server infrastructure for the new Oracle Java Cloud Service. Part of the Oracle Cloud, Oracle Java Cloud Service gives customers self-service, subscription-based access for rapidly developing, testing and deploying standalone applications and extensions to Oracle Cloud Application Services. Oracle Java Cloud Service can run any standard Oracle WebLogic Server Java application, and developers can move applications from the Oracle Cloud to other deployment environments and vice-versa. Oracle is announcing a free developer license for Oracle WebLogic Server, allowing developers to build Oracle WebLogic Server applications on their desktop at no cost. All versions of Oracle WebLogic Server hosted on OTN are available with this license, which also includes Oracle Coherence, the in-memory data grid offering. Oracle WebLogic Server 12c brings to market a modern, lightweight and efficient Java development platform that supports the latest Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) and Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE) standards.
