Telecommunication solutions company, NTT Communications (NTT Com) has just announced the immediate availability of its new web conferencing solution in the markets of Asia, Europe and United States.
Dubbed, Web-Based Visual Communication, the solution is based on the Warp Vision service offered in Japan by NTT’s subsidiary NTT Resonant. It claims to enable transmission of high-resolution (640x480 pixels) video at 2 - 8 Mbps and 30 frames per second, and CD-quality sound.
The vendor has packaged the service with its Arcstar Global IP-VPN and leased lines to create the web conferencing solution.
The increasingly globalized operations of engineering, manufacturing and other companies have created a growing demand for a convenient yet high-quality Web conferencing service that enables people to use their PCs to discuss products, etc. with co-workers overseas said NTT in a statement.
Going forward, the company also plans to introduce more flexible system settings such as extended audio compression to free up bandwidth of 512 kbps or more, which would enable users to maintain image quality.
Besides India, the solution is also available in countries including Australia, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.
