Proxy Networks, a provider of remote desktop software, has announced the general availability of PROXY Pro 6.10, the latest version of its remote desktop software solution. The new version includes remote management software tools to view and repair configuration settings on remote PCs in real-time, and without disturbing the currently logged-on user.
New Features
Key new features of PROXY Pro 6.10 include the ability to generate inventory of hardware and software assets on a remote computer; the ability to view system settings on a remote computer; the ability to view and modify registry settings on a remote computer; the ability to view services on a remote computer and start/ stop/ restart them remotely; the ability to view processes on a remote computer and stop them remotely; the ability to view user, group and system accounts on a remote computer; and the ability to restart/ reboot/ shutdown a remote computer.
Secure Remote Management Software
PROXY Pro 6.10 ensures that remote management queries and commands are safe and secure by carrying them over the encrypted, authorised Proxy connections that link helpdesk technician computers and remote PCs. Unlike similar tools, PROXY Pro 6.10 Remote Management software does not require the RPC protocol or file sharing to be enabled, which are most often turned off in corporate environments for security purposes. In addition, technicians can use the remote management tools to make configuration changes on remote computers without interrupting the current user session or requiring the user to log-off.
“The new remote management software tools in PROXY Pro 6.10 allow helpdesk technicians to take action and close more support tickets faster,” said Andy Kim, CEO of Proxy Networks. “These tools represent our latest effort to make helpdesk technicians more productive and efficient as corporate IT budgets get trimmed.”
