Manthan Systems, the global player in business intelligence (BI) for retailers, has introduced the latest release of its ARC platform for retail analytics and BI.
ARC 6.4 reinvents retail business intelligence with breakthrough features including collaborative analytics, new visualisation techniques for reviewing performance, cloud-based collaboration with vendors, embedded workflows, and self-training through Manthan’s guided analytics.
“Retail analytics, whether basic or advanced, has traditionally been reserved for only a few users within a retail organisation, due to the high cost per user of traditional BI and the need to invest in significant training for business users,” said Peter Charness, President of Manthan Systems. “However, Manthan’s ARC solutions are licensed on an enterprise basis to reduce cost and include an exceptional user interface. Manthan has always received high marks from our customers for both affordability and usability, but with ARC 6.4, we are again raising the bar with a number of new capabilities.”
Collaborative Analytics. Within a retail enterprise, critical decisions are typically not made by a single individual but are the result of a natural process of discussion, review and concurrence among stakeholders within the organisation. ARC 6.4 emulates this process with analytical collaboration that enables a business group to work together, review each other’s findings and comments, and make decisions through an approval and implementation process. ARC’s new collaboration features allow organisations to work together to make fact-based decisions based on the most current and relevant business insights.
New Visualisation Capabilities. Traditional methods of reviewing performance are often ineffective for retailers. New capabilities such as Manthan’s Product Carousel allow retailers to review performance along any line by images, a natural way to identify critical performance factors in merchandise. ARC 6.4 also introduces the “Leaderboard,” a new capability for comparing performance to best-in-class values, as opposed to benchmarking against averages. ARC 6.4 also builds on Manthan’s Guided Analytics, which allows business users to create custom workflows and institutionalise their desired analytical processes throughout the organisation.
Cloud-based Vendor Collaboration.ARC 6.4’s collaboration capability powers Manthan’s “Vendor Link,” enabling insight-driven collaboration between retailers and their suppliers through a cloud-based offering. Vendor collaboration allows real-time information and visibility into the supply chain processes, so that retailers can prevent out-of-stocks, drive supplier-led promotions, facilitate new product introductions, and make price cost adjustments.
The cloud-based analytic infrastructure within “Vendor Insights” helps retailers monetise their data and drives new business efficiencies by giving suppliers visibility to store and item level data across products, categories and consumers.
Customer Analytics Enable Personalised Promotions. ARC 6.4 extends the BI platform for customer analytics by embedding predictive analytics into customer marketing and loyalty analytics processes. Sophisticated retail mathematical models feed the ability to identify best-fit target segments and customer lists for personalised promotions, across a range of conventional and new media. ARC 6.4 uniquely brings together transactions, customer and promotion data and allows retail marketers to measure the ROI from their marketing investments.
