Mahindra Satyam, a global consulting and IT services provider, has announced the expansion of Utility Solutions into Smart Grid by inaugurating a Smart Grid Customer Demonstration Centre (CDC) at the 120-acre Mahindra Satyam Technology Centre campus in Hyderabad. The CDC will help customers understand the next generation technology in real-time and evaluate various technologies underlying the smart grid ecosystem.
The Smart Grid CDC will simulate Micro-grid technologies of the future by incorporating Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Demand Response, Renewable Energy Integration, Network Automation, Substation Automation, Home Automation and EV Charging stations. The CDC is developed in collaboration with Schneider Electric India, using components of Schneider Electric, and will also function as a platform to develop innovative solutions such as Cloud-based Analytics, Smart Grid Security & Interoperability, and Real-time Demand Response.
