Magma Fincorp Limited, an Indian NBFC, has engaged Oracle Consulting, the services provider focused on the success of customers deploying Oracle software, to design and deploy an Internet and mobile-based user engagement platform. The new platform is aimed to deliver various benchmark experiences to customers, employees and business partners.
As a part of this project, Magma will be implementing Oracle WebCenter Portal, which will allow employees, even in remote locations, to access information and applications, helping reduce turnaround time to customers and partners. Magma aims to develop a state of the art integrated IT platform covering all its business processes and key corporate functions. The project will deploy the latest workflow automation, integrated content management and collaboration technologies of Oracle WebCentre.
This implementation will enable virtualisation of Magma Fincorp’s offices by empowering its field force to deliver solutions and services to clients in real time. It will also allow the company to offer enhanced customer service to customers and partners and drastically reduce capital costs as well as unit operational costs. Such a high degree of automation and system driven business processes will also help Magma deliver superior operational and risk management capabilities.
“Social media has already transformed the way customers, employees, partners, and suppliers communicate and stay informed. We therefore, realised the need for an open and integrated platform that can help people collaborate better and work more efficiently with the right information and tools,” said Dinesh Chandna, CIO, Magma Fincorp. “Our previous experiences with Oracle and the company’s understanding of our requirement for a robust and sustainable solution had made Oracle WebCenter and Oracle Consulting our natural choice.”
“Forward-thinking organisations are looking at new technology and infrastructure to help them advance to the next level and integrate social activities with business applications,” said Gopal Chawla, Senior Director, Oracle Consulting Services, Oracle India. “Our solutions will help Magma improve their efficiencies in serving their customers and partners.’
Oracle’s WebCenter platform was selected because of Oracle’s functional expertise in the domain and Oracle WebCenter’s capability to address challenges such as managing large transaction volumes, a higher ROI in the face of competitive pressures on margins and need for reaching out to a larger base of customers.
