Kliger-Weiss Infosystems (KWI) has successfully provided the retail division of Madura Garments with an end-to-end retail solution from the IBM Point of Sale (PoS) offerings for purchase order management, price management, planning, allocation, replenishment, customer relationship marketing (CRM), and enterprise reporting at the back office, with the added benefit of 24/7 support.
Rather than simply providing the technology and functionality, KWI takes the additional step of doing the analysis of data collected, which allows for quicker problem-solving and the ability to act on that research at the retail level. KWI offers everything from CRM to basic analysis of shopper trends. “We can then slice and dice that data for our direct-marketing programmes,” says George Santacroce, CEO of The Collective Retail Store, a division of Madura Garments.
“Many large retail organisations are more comfortable having those systems in house,” says Sam Kliger, KWI president and CEO. “But the issue is these systems are costly, they take a long time to implement and a lot of staff to support. Let the retailer focus on retail, while we focus on technology.”
KWI was called in after an in-house ERP solution was unable to meet the company’s deadline for the go-live date. The KWI implementation took only 120 days from the signing of the agreement. In addition, KWI wrote all the interfaces for Madura Garments’ SAP financials, warehouse management and for the complex Indian tax code system. “Another advantage of working with KWI is that you end up getting best-of-class functionality in PoS, CRM and inventory management,” says Santacroce.
