Kotak Mahindra Group Deploys Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010

Kotak Mahindra Group, the financial conglomerate, has deployed Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 for better collaboration and communication amongst its employees. The group implemented the technology platform as part of a unified communications strategy across its different business units. The deployment supports improved employee efficiency and better IT management.

Kotak Mahindra group is committed to providing an end user technology environment that is fully functional and still intuitive to use in order to boost employee productivity. As part of this commitment, they deployed Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 across the group. The architecture of the products ensured ease of integration into the existing tech environment. They consolidated servers for these products across the group leading to improved cost efficiency from higher utilisation of resources, standardisation and improved manageability of the IT environment. The deployment provides support for enhanced communication and collaboration across all employees of the group. Adoption of the technologies is speeded up by the fact that the products have an interface similar to other Microsoft products and they are intuitive to use. The familiarity of the products further made it easy for the employees to start using it right away, helping them to be more effective at their jobs.

“The deployment of Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 at Kotak Mahindra Group will support employees in collaborating in a seamless fashion,” said Ramkumar Pichai, General Manager, Microsoft Office Division, Microsoft India. “Our technology allows users to collaborate easily, host meetings, share instant messages and streamline communications, thereby, helping to achieve business goals.”
