Juniper Networks Delivers Open Adaptive Threat Mgmt Solutions

Juniper Networks has announced Juniper Networks Adaptive Threat Management Solutions, an open solution set that provides real-time threat defense with network-wide visibility and control at scale to reduce risk and increase productivity, all while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO). Based on an open security infrastructure, Juniper’s Adaptive Threat Management Solutions leverage new and enhanced technologies from its networking product portfolio.

The Adaptive Threat Management Solutions include: new Juniper Networks SRX3000 Series Services Gateways; a new release of Juniper’s network access control (NAC) solution; Unified Access Control (UAC) 3.0; new Secure Access (SA) SSL VPN 6.4 technology with new standards-based interoperability functionality; and new releases of Juniper Networks Security Threat Response Manager (STRM) 2008.3 and Network and Security Manager (NSM) 2008.2 with advanced network management, threat response and reporting.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

No-Compromise Security Deployment

- Reduce Risk: Juniper Networks SRX3000 Series Services Gateways working with UAC enable application access control across mega data centres with identity-based ‘follow-me’ firewall policies.

Enhanced Secure Access SSL VPN 6.4 and UAC 3.0 software releases deliver co-ordinated enterprise-wide access control solutions, working together to seamlessly co-ordinate local and remote access and ensuring consistently enforced global policies for any user or role – including employees, contractors, partners, and offshore users.

- Lower TCO: With the flexibility of the SRX Series modular hardware and natively integrated services, organisations can reduce TCO by saving more than 80 percent in power consumption and rack space as per company claims. With Juniper’s NSM 2008.2 and STRM 2008.3, they can automate and correlate attack responses to increase IT productivity with universal network and security management that speeds deployment time and simplifies network correlation and reporting, effectively cutting management costs by more than 50 percent.

- Increase Productivity: Secure Access SSL VPN and UAC identity federation empowers remote users to access NAC-protected resources with a single global login and seamless single sign-on that can increase employee productivity, reduce help desk calls and simplify IT administration. Organisations can also reduce time and resources required to remediate non-compliant endpoints with SA/UAC’s tight cooperation with Microsoft’s Systems Management Server (SMS) auto remediation.
