Juniper Appoints Manager For Emerging Technologies

Juniper Networks has appointed Diwakar Dayal as manager of emerging technologies for India, to drive Juniper Networks’ emerging technology sales activities in India, including continued focus on branch network applications and corporate compliance. With 8 years of experience in the security industry, Dayal formerly held business development roles with Datacraft India and has also worked with Verisign and Wipro.

Juniper’s Emerging Technology team provides technology solutions such as application acceleration, network access control and intrusion detection and prevention technologies. Juniper’s WAN acceleration and network access technologies are used by Indian banks and other businesses for data replication and branch network acceleration.

“According to Gartner, approximately 80% of enterprise employees now work from a branch office, a trend that is driving customer demand for more features, bandwidth and quality in their branch networks,” said Nagendra Venkaswamy, Juniper’s managing director for India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) sub-region. “Diwakar’s role is a new one at Juniper, created to serve the growing interests in the Indian market for branch office solutions that combine robust protection from both external and internal threats with strong networking capabilities.”
