July Systems' Mi Channel To Power Mint's Mobile Portal

With Mi Channel, the Mint audience will be able to access live news stories, information about IPOs, earnings, mutual funds, and stock quotes on their phones.

July Systems' Mi Channel To Power Mint's Mobile Portal

July Systems has announced the launch of Mi Channel on business newspaper Mint’s mobile portal (http://m.livemint.com). Mint is owned by HT Media, and is an exclusive partner of The Wall Street Journal.

July Systems is a mobile media company and its Mi Channel Platform powers mobile channels for news, sports, business, and entertainment brands.

“We’re excited to partner with Mint, to offer personalised and user-friendly Mi experiences on mobile phones to their users,” said Rajesh TS Reddy, CEO, July Systems. “July’s Mi Channel helps create user-centric mobile Internet portals that result in significantly increased usage and advertising inventory. We’ll also be rolling out several Mobile 2.0 enhancements for Mint soon”.

“With Mi Channel, we’re able to offer an enhanced user experience for the Mint mobile audience,” said Rashmi Chugh, head - Internet, Mint. “As a business site Livemint.com has a vast base of active and involved users looking for the latest in financial and corporate information. We expect that this deployment will translate to increased usage on mobile, and we look forward to deploying more Mi Channel features soon”.

With Mi Channel, Mint will be able to offer the following experiences on mobile:

-- User-Centric: The service identifies and authenticates mobile users across carriers and devices. Once identified, Mint’s portal content is specifically formatted for their mobile device.
-- Live: Users can access live news stories, information about IPO, earnings, mutual funds, and stock quotes.
-- Interactive: Users can rate and comment on stories featured on Mint’s mobile site, and participate in audience polls - allowing for a more involved experience.
