Intuit Inc. Has announced the opening of a product development and innovation centre in Bangalore.
“Our expansion today into our second facility is a critical part of our long-term global development strategy,” said Bill Ihrie, senior vice president of Small Business Product Development for Intuit. “The pace at which technology is moving and enterprises are growing creates an immense need for talented engineers. The engineering talent in Bangalore helps us fill that need. Our employees in India have made tremendous contributions to our products, and they will continue to own and take the lead on a number of customer-facing engineering projects.”
“Our engineers in India have filed for 10 patents in this short time,” said Nilesh Thakker, Intuit’s country manager in India. “They are doing important work and have had real influence over the products we develop.”
