Informatica Corporation, the global independent provider of data integration software, has announced that Margaret Breya has joined the company as chief marketing officer and executive vice president, responsible for worldwide marketing. Breya brings more than 25 years of marketing leadership experience at enterprise software category leaders including SAP, Business Objects, and BEA as well as IT industry leaders including HP and Sun Microsystems.

She is an accomplished executive with broad-based marketing experience at category-defining organisations,” said Sohaib Abbasi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Informatica. “Marge is exceptionally qualified to help drive our next growth phase by further expanding our market opportunities shaped by secular technology megatrends including cloud computing and Big Data.”

As HP’s senior vice president of Marketing Services, Breya was most recently responsible for optimising marketing investment across the world’s largest IT company. Prior to HP, Breya served as executive vice president and general manager at SAP. Breya has also held positions as executive vice president, general manager and chief marketing officer at Business Objects, chief marketing officer and chief strategy officer at BEA Systems and senior vice president of Marketing at Sun Microsystems.
Breya received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Oregon.
