Informatica Corporation, the global independent data integration software provider, has announced the celebration of Informatica operations in India for 10 years. The company which began its operations in India in 2003, today ranks among leading data integration players in the world and has emerged as a strategic data integration partner to some of the biggest names in India.
Today, Informatica Labs (iLabs) India has about 700 employees, making it one of the largest offices in the world for Informatica. Over the past decade, iLabs India has contributed to some of the most innovative products and services that the company offers to its clients globally.
iLabs India has achieved significant milestones in operational excellence.
Product Innovation – Informatica India contributes to Informatica products globally including: the Informatica Platform, Application Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), Complex Event Processing (CEP), Data Quality and others.
Employee Retention – Based on the range, nature and quality of work and quality of employees, Informatica India’s retention rates are better than other R&D labs in India and well above the industry average.
Expanding Informatica’s presence in the APJ region – Joint initiatives with APJ Sales and partner technology teams to win new customers and expand partnerships.
Engagement with the Ecosystem – Informatica India is actively engaged with research institutes like IIT Mumbai and others to explore new ideas for developing cutting-edge commercial products. They are also engaged with AIF (America India Foundation) to adopt villages and inculcate computer education at high school level.

Informatica has ten R&D labs around the world. The international development effort is intended to both increase development productivity and deliver innovative product capabilities. The Bangalore facility is the biggest of Informatica’s development centres and the engineers at the India R&D facility contribute to mainline, cutting-edge products catering to the requirements of leading customers around the world.
