IBM India announced that analyst firm IDC has positioned IBM as the market leader in the India domestic IT services market for 2006. IBM Global Services emerged number one in the India domestic IT services market, with a 9.7% revenue share for the year 2006.

“The total size of the domestic IT services market was US$ 3.7 billion in 2006, and was primarily driven by IT consolidation, big ticket implementation in the enterprise space and greater investments by SMBs”, said Mrydul Vats, assistant manager - Software and Services Research, IDC India.
