HP has introduced new services that enable enterprises to integrate, manage and govern complex multivendor environments, resulting in reduced risk and costs.
According to Gartner Research, “business groups are adopting cloud 2.5 times faster than IT groups. Procurement of cloud services from external suppliers by business groups separate from services developed by IT is creating ‘supplier sprawl.’”
“Managing and measuring complex IT sourcing environments in terms meaningful to the business has become a pressing need for the CIO, particularly with the recent and rapid adoption of cloud computing,” said Will Cappelli, research vice president, Gartner. “An end-to-end management solution to govern and measure multisourced IT environments will be critical to gaining timely service performance and financial information in order to optimise the IT supply chain and avoid the costs of supplier sprawl.”
The new HP Service Integration and Management offering gives enterprises a single view into multisourced services, including cloud services, whether provisioned internally by IT or externally by non-IT business groups. The offering provides organisations with transformational consulting services, including a roadmap that identifies required processes for improving management and performance of multiple supplier environments.
By providing a standard IT architecture and integration model for all services, HP Service Integration and Management helps clients create an agile and easily governed IT environment.
“The lack of visibility into services delivered by multiple suppliers, including those from cloud providers, leads to inconsistent service levels across the organisation and increases IT management risk and costs,” said Amit Chatterjee, Director, HP Software & Solutions, HP India. “Our new offering gives organisations the processes and tools needed for improved insight and better governance of all suppliers, while reducing complexity and cost.”
HP Service Integration and Management helps organisations develop the right supplier integration and management roadmap to achieve business goals by providing an overall topology of IT services as well as indicating how each service maps to different business objectives. With real-time visibility into business service performance, as well as the performance of relevant suppliers, clients also can proactively monitor their service delivery.
In combination with the HP IT Performance Suite of software, HP Service Integration and Management helps clients establish an enterprise-wide governance and business service operating model that improves IT performance, simplifies management and meets compliance requirements. At the center of the offering is the HP Capability Framework, a reference model used to streamline and reduce the complexity of global multivendor IT environments and the cost of supplier sprawl.
The HP Service Integration and Management Roadmap Service helps clients simplify management of multiple suppliers to reduce risks and costs associated with compliance regulations. The roadmap, developed by HP consultants, includes information about all of a client’s suppliers, including internal IT groups and external service providers. Once implemented, all suppliers are standardised on the same operating model so they can be held accountable for service level agreements.
Enhanced visibility into multivendor environments with HP Service Integration and Management helps businesses and governments in their pursuit of an Instant-On Enterprise. In a world of continuous connectivity, the Instant-On Enterprise embeds technology in everything it does to serve customers, employees, partners and citizens with whatever they need, instantly.
