HP Introduces "Accidental Damage Protection"

As a part of its ‘Total Care’ initiative, HP has introduced the HP Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) as an additional feature in all its Pavilion G and Pavilion DV class notebooks. The service is currently available in India only and is designed to provide another layer of quality service to its customers, by protecting them from unexpected costs of repairs or replacing parts.

Specifically, ‘Accidental Damage Protection’ provides coverage against damage caused due to unintentional liquid spills on the unit, accidental drops or falls, and electrical surge. This also covers liquid crystal displays (LCDs), or parts damaged or broken in such incidents. “The introduction of the Accidental Damage Protection strengthens our commitment to provide ‘Total Care’ to our customers with the best after sales service and support they would want. HP made it. Let HP protect it.”, says Vinay Awasthi, Sr. Director Product & Marketing (PSG), HP India.

ADP highlights:

Coverage: Applies to unintentional liquid spills in or on the unit, drops, falls, and electrical surge. This includes damaged or broken liquid crystal displays (LCDs), or broken parts.

Remote diagnosis and support: Local phone and online support using HP remote tools help isolate specific customer problem and streamline resolution.

Parts and materials: Includes all labour and HP-supported parts required to return the covered hardware in operating condition, or replacement of the device if it cannot be repaired.

Coverage window: ADP is available at customers door step (Onsite) during standard business days and hours in India. Service features and availability vary by region.
