NDS, a provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, has announced that Hathway, India’s cable TV services company has selected NDS XTV Digital Video Recorder (DVR) technology to launch cable DVR. The new XTV DVR solution will be deployed during 2008, and will give subscribers control over what they watch and when they watch it.
In partnership with NDS, Hathway can now deliver a combination of broadcast and On-Demand digital television to Indian cable subscribers. The NDS XTV DVR solution offers Hathway subscribers the ability to support advanced features and future services including Series Linked TV shows and push Video On Demand.
