In a bid to streamline its working, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has digitalised nearly 250,000 files to enable Web-based services to its customers, state Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said.
“It is a big achievement for HUDA and we have also directed the concerned officers to create a payment gateway. We have also told them to set up a computer-based grievance redressal system,” he added.
The service would enable the customers to check online the details of their property, including the financial transactions made to HUDA, and the status of their other issues.
According to official records, HUDA has more than 250,000 customers across the state and there is client service of more than 300 people per day per estate office.
“We have digitalised as many as 2.50 lakh files to provide this transparent and single window service,” said D S Dhesi, State Financial Commissioner & Principal Secretary, town and country planning.
“With this system, the clients can also track the status of their application forms online. This will expedite the process of clearance of applications and would lead to greater satisfaction level among the clients,” he said. (IANS)
