Gujarat Telelink Private Ltd (GTPL), an independent cable TV provider in Gujarat, has deployed an end-to-end solution from NDS, a provider of technology solutions for digital pay TV, to power and protect its digital services.
The end-to-end solution includes VideoGuard conditional access technology, MediaHighway middleware and interactive applications including games and an electronic programme guide (EPG). GTPL plans to introduce new services including pay-per-view, VoIP and video-on-demand using the NDS technology to bring a whole new TV experience to consumers in Gujarat. The NDS VideoGuard is expected to secure over 180 channels, including premium content such as international movies, and value-added services (VAS) including songs-on-demand.
"With its combination of innovative technology and professional services and support available locally, we look forward to working with NDS to move our business forward and to deliver the industry’s best entertainment, information and other digital services to viewers," said Anirudhsinh Jadeja, CMD at GTPL. "With NDS as our technology partner, we are confident in our ability to provide a compelling digital TV proposition to our customers."
