Foxit Software, a provider of solutions for reading, creating, organising and securing PDF documents, announced Foxit PDF Security Suite software for Microsoft Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS) to enhance the security and functionality of PDF documents residing in Microsoft Windows Server Systems and Sharepoint Services.
The software components included in Foxit PDF Security Suite provide the first cost-effective solution for extending enterprise-ready AD RMS protection to the PDF file format as per company claims. Typically, PDF files represent 20 percent of information held in enterprise IT environments.
“There is a growing need for organisations to prevent loss of valuable company assets and insure regulatory compliance and corporate governance. Foxit Software’s ISO 32000 compatible PDF technology and software applications can be used with Microsoft AD RMS enabled products. We think customers will also benefit from new features that allow selective enablement of PDF functionality like off-line forms fill-in, editing, and document annotation to enable cost-effective digital workflows using existing PDF documents,” said Eugene Xiong, CEO of Foxit Software.
Foxit PDF Security Suite allows users to enhance the value of existing IT infrastructure investments as well as enable the creation of business process efficiencies. “Foxit PDF Security Suite extends AD RMS support to PDF and makes it possible for CIOs and IT managers to save money by deploying one enterprise DRM solution to protect both PDF and MS office formats,” said George Gao, vice president of Sales and Marketing, Foxit Software.
A beta release of Foxit PDF Security Suite is available to IT professionals interested in testing, and piloting solutions in their corporate or government environments.
