Security vendor F-Secure has just released the latest version of its Messaging Security Gateway solution. The new F-Secure Messaging Security Gateway v4 comes with features such as improved usability, mail queue management and support for more complex e-mail infrastructures.
The solution claims to safeguard the network by blocking spam and viruses at the gateway level.
F-Secure said that the solution can be easily deployed in industry-standard cluster configurations to support complex or geographically distributed data centers. Its optimal scalability architecture lets users manage all agent servers from a single master console.
While the Messaging Security Gateway is available in three different physical hardware configurations, the hardware appliance is also available on VMware’s virtualization platform.
All four versions of the gateway including the virtual appliance, feature the same anti-spam, anti-virus and anti-phishing features as well as an optional zero-hour protection against fast-spreading e-mail viruses.
“Many organizations are overloaded by e-mail-borne spam and viruses. As the number increases, so too does the importance of heightened spam and virus detection rates as well as the ease by which mail filtering capacity can be increased,” said Ari Alakiuttu, vice president, product marketing, F-Secure.
