Excelocity Inc., a Software Services company and a developer of turnkey embedded software solutions for telecom vendors, and Aricent, a global innovation, technology and services company focused exclusively on communications, announced that they have successfully completed the integration of Excelocity’s XL-Gateway, a framework for building Voice/Video IP solutions, and Aricent’s Converged Access Software (CAS), a software framework for multi-service gateways for the Intel CAP24-60 Multi-Service Business Gateway reference HW platform.
“We are pleased to be launching this VoIP solution based on the XL-Gateway and the Intel CAP24-60 platform,” said Goutam Shaw, President, Founder, Excelocity Inc. “The universal nature of our XL-Gateway Frameworks, via its adaptor modules, allowed us to quickly adapt to Intel’s DSP and TDM interfaces while keeping XL-Gateway’s core engines unchanged. It is good to see XLG and CAS, the two complementary products, working together to enable multi-service gateway solutions for our customers.”
Excelocity XL - Gateway Framework significantly reduces the product development costs from multi-millions of dollars to hundreds of thousands and the time to market from years to months. It presents a modular, highly scalable architecture with high level APIs for call, media, signaling and OAMP control. The framework provides powerful APIs that remove the complexity of managing the underlying hardware resources and enables designers to easily build Next-Generation services and applications.
Aricent Converged Access Solution enables vendors to rapidly develop new products in various form factors, while reducing integration and maintenance costs. Using the CAS software, equipment vendors can develop a single integrated device that is highly flexible and scalable to meet the requirements of new services and applications.
