IBM has announced that it has signed an agreement with Everfresh Bakeries, a complete bakery retail chain from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, now headquartered in Mumbai to help integrate their business processes, data and systems across the value chain and facilitate seamless cross-channel customer experience. A complete bakery retail chain ‘Everfresh’ is into freshly baked products catering to communities spread around Indore in central India covering Bhopal, Dewas, Ujjain, Mohw, Khandwa, Dhar, Soankuch etc. With the food retail industry at a rapid growth in India, Everfresh Bakeries plans to set-up pan-India business for cakes, cookies, bakery products using modern technology etc. By partnering with IBM, they have acquired a multi-channel solution, with each channel complimenting the other to help Everfresh Bakeries reach out to its customers using any mode of transaction – be it walk-ins, web or telephone.
IBM has provided Everfresh Bakery with a solution comprising WebSphere e-Commerce Suite, IBM Sales Center and WebSphere Commerce developer licenses to set-up their online retail channel. It is capable of addressing the current business requirements and can grow with the business in future. As per the deal, IBM and its partner eco-system would also deliver end-to-end solution for retail including integration with back-office systems including existing SAP B1 Point of Sale outlets and Logistics delivery companies associated with Everfresh in various cities who get inputs from the Bakery and reach customers in-turn.
