EPM Live, a provider of SharePoint Project and Work Management solutions, recently released v2.2, which offers advanced SharePoint Resource Management toolsets. EPM Live products and services change the way organisations manage their work and resources. The new Resource Management capabilities of EPM Live v2.2 allow for more efficient and effective project and work management.
Employees are the most valuable asset and the biggest expense for most organisations. The ability to deploy employees effectively against often conflicting projects and other work priorities, enables organisations to optimise their return on human resource investments. EPM Live v2.2 empowers organisations to maximise their resources, task throughput, and company morale. EPM Live gives resources and managers an efficient system to place the appropriate staff on the right work items, at the right time.
New EPM Live Resource Management Capabilities
The key new features released with v2.2 are the resource planning and managing features that allow for workload views across the enterprise as well as resource availability by scalable time phase, also allowing for ‘What-if’ analysis and resource grouping by attributes. The new capacity planning features allow resource workload and capacity planning analysis using heat map reports and other SQL resource reporting views. Users can now:
- View Resource Workload across any SharePoint List (All Work)
- View Resource Availability by Scalable Time phase
- Perform What-if Analysis on Resource Workload and Availability
- Group Resources by Attributes (Department, Skills, Roles, etc)
With the new SharePoint Resource Tools, users can:
- Find Resources - Find the right resource with the right availability before you assign them to a work item
- Check Resource Availability - View Resource Workload on an item against all other work assigned to a resource. Perform What-if analysis and commit changes back to SharePoint
EPM Live v2.2 provides visibility into resource demands across the organisation so functional managers can make staffing decisions to support corporate goals and objectives. This new resource management capability enables organisations to understand which projects and types of work are consuming their most valuable resources and effectively realign their staffing plan based on changing priorities and budgets.
