In order to expand its reach among Indian enterprises in North India, Epicore Software has tied up with Team Computers. The company is focused on reinforcing its presence in the mid-market segment with a whole new range of solutions that focus on manufacturing, distribution, retail, hospitality and services.
Informs Stefan Westelius, senior director, EMEA, Epicor, “The ERP market in India is expected to reach $ 250 million by 2009. Hence, keeping in mind the increasing trend of IT spend in India, we want to broaden our base. Though we have presence in the services and hospital sectors, we want to make a good hold in other sectors like manufacturing, retail and financial sectors.”
The company is planning to set up its offices in India within one year. According to Basil Daniells, regional sales director, Epicor Middle East, North Africa and India, “India is considered to be an important market for Epicor as far as regional growth strategy is concerned. Epicor will also focus on the roll out of new solutions, including its discrete manufacturing suite, retail management suite and its software suite for service enterprises targeted at the large professional services industry. We have decided to tie up Team Computers due to its experience across all verticals and local knowledge about the markets.”
Team Computer is also planning to aggressively market the offerings along with its other solutions. It is focusing on the business information, IT infrastructure, information services and remote infrastructure management solutions. Opines Ranjan Chopra, chairman and managing director, Team Computers, “The enterprise software applications of Epicor are perfectly fit for the Indian markets and their pricing are also appropriate. We are confident that Epicor with its range of enterprise solutions will provide us a challenging reason to expand and enhance our reach into diverse sectors of the economy.”
