Epicor Reinforces India Focus

Epicor Software, US-based midmarket ERP provider, has announced expanding its presence across India through enhanced support to its channel partnerships and the launch of a range of new solutions targeted at key growth sectors of the Indian economy.

“Epicor has been catering to customers in India for over a decade, offering solutions through our channel partner, Sonata Software,” said Stefan Westelius, senior director for Epicor in EMEA. “We are determined to reinforce our India presence with long-term focus and a portfolio of technology-leading enterprise solutions that would support a wide range of businesses from manufacturing, distribution, retail and services to hospitality.”

Epicor has been present in the Indian market as Scala with a range of iScala solutions. Scala Business Solutions was acquired by Epicor in 2004 and the current strategy to reinforce its presence has been taken with a predominant focus on tapping the vast potential for Enterprise Application Software (EAS) solutions in the services, retail, hospitality and manufacturing sectors of the Indian economy.

According to Basil Daniells, regional sales director for Epicor Middle East, North Africa and India, “Epicor will continue to build on the customer base of iScala. At the same time, we will also focus on rolling out new solutions, including our discrete manufacturing suite, retail management suite, and software suite for service enterprises targeted primarily at the professional services industry.”
