Enkay’s VC solution offers functionalities and features such as session recording, playback and streaming support, capability to work on high-speed data cards, data sharing through pen drive, lower operating cost (lesser AMC, bandwidth expense, etc), bandwidth optimisation (rich media at lowest bandwidth), archiving of sessions for future reference, a licence-based VC system, easy asset management (PCs owned by individuals), operates from as low as 128 kbps to as high as 4 MB bandwidth, interactive multicast facility on a multicast supporting network, multi-party capability in conjunction with MCU/ MCU-embedded codecs, transcoding with other codecs, sends and receives data in resolutions up to XGA in highest quality video, 720p transmit and 1080p full HD incoming, fully compatible with ISDN, ADSL, Broadband MPLS/ VPN, IP Networks and Windows Vista SP1, multiple window layouts (regular, large, mini, full screen), supports PTZ camera for executive systems, 25 continuous presence and various layout options, and MS Outlook and LDAP integration.

“There has been seen a significant shift towards desktop-based VC solutions in the market. The existing codec-based video conferencing solutions available in the market are mostly beyond the reach of SME/ SOHO segments, resulting into restricted usage and enterprise limitations while expanding their video conferencing infrastructure. This has led companies to seek an affordable, multi-purpose solution that allows broader reach to individuals outside of their network, interaction on a more personal level, sharing of PC desktop materials, and a more efficient way to conduct hands-on training for their needs and IT budgets, thus making desktop video conferencing even more significant,” said Dayal Hemrajani, Chairman & Managing Director, Enkay Technologies.
