EMC has announced signing of an Meomorandum of Undersatnding (MoU) with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), India’s 5th largest university with 200+ engineering colleges which will facilitate next-gen technology education in the state. The MoU was announced by Professor Piyush Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, RGPV at a ceremony in the city. The ceremony was attended by Kuncheria P Issac, member-secretary of the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Rajesh Janey, President, EMC India & SAARC Shri Hariranjan Rao Secretary to CM and IT Secretary, Shri Sanjay Singh, Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Professor Arun Nahar, Director Technical Education, among other dignitaries.
As a part of this MoU, EMC will provide RGPV with information and knowledge in the field of Information Storage and Management, Cloud Infrastructure Services, Backup Recovery Systems & Architecture and Data Science and Big Data Analytics to enable RGPV to equip the university with expertise and knowledge in line with the latest industry trends. As part of the collaboration, EMC is committed to organise training for the Faculty of Degree Institutes under the domain of the university, help develop learning material for the courses and guide RGPV in identifying potential placement opportunities to the students who successfully complete the courses.
The MoU is part of the EMC Academic Alliance (EAA) program, an EMC initiative that aims to collaborate with the leading educational institutions around the world to address the emerging knowledge gap in the areas of Storage, Cloud Computing, Backup Recovery Systems & Architecture and Data Science and Big Data Analytics technologies by developing a resource pool of skilled, certified and industry-ready professionals. This is the only program in the industry that offers an ’open course’ for students. So far, EMC has forged alliances with 150+ education institutions in India and has trained over 65,000 students.

The partnership will enable our students to learn latest technologies such as cloud computing which is transforming the IT industry as a whole,” said Piyush Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. He added, “The partnership shall also help nurture talent in Madhya Pradesh in niche areas of IT Industry. This shall further act as a catalyst in generating employment opportunities for fresh engineering graduates.”
