According to industry reports, by 2022, $14.4 trillion of value (net profit) will be “up for grabs” for enterprises globally -driven by Internet of Everything (IoE). With about 50 billion devices connected to the Internet by 2020, IoE will create a new path for opportunities for companies involved in this domain. India will account for 5 percent of this and much more if proactively managed. But, for Indian start-ups involved in this sphere, there are quite a few challenges to overcome.
IESA and TiE will establish an ecosystem to promote exchange of ideas and information and foster entrepreneurial action on IoT activity in Bangalore and to facilitate networking and mentoring amongst peer groups.
TiE Bangalore will identify, discover emerging start-ups in the IoT space to nurture and help them grow through TiE mentoring, EAP programme and also get them access to angels and VCs for funding.
IoT SIG will be running regular events, expert talks, workshops and show case of emerging IoT start-ups over the course of the year to understand the opportunities in this space for entrepreneurs and also to provide a platform for entrepreneurs, tech experts, IoT practitioners, large corporate and investors to come together and ideate, cross leverage, share and network.
