Electric Cloud, a provider of Software Production Management (SPM) solutions, recently announced integration with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager. Electric Cloud’s ElectricCommander and Microsoft System Center together provide dynamically provisioned virtual machines for the software build-test-deploy process, delivering results including improved time to market, better software quality, higher development productivity and reduced IT infrastructure costs.
“As companies implement virtualization and cloud computing environments, robust management solutions and software production management are important for maximizing their return on investment and reducing costs,” said David Greschler, Director of Integrated Virtualization and Management Marketing at Microsoft. “Through its integration with Microsoft System Center, Electric Cloud offers our mutual customers an effective way to extend the management benefits of System Center when deploying virtualized and cloud-based build-test-deploy systems.”
“ElectricCommander can automate and accelerate complex build-test-deploy processes anytime from anywhere using private clouds, virtual machines, or external clouds,” said Usman Muzaffar, VP of Product Management at Electric Cloud. “The integration of Microsoft System Center with ElectricCommander provides an ideal backbone for highly complex software development, including the ability to provision an entire software production environment from scratch for multiple teams and projects which scales to meet demand.”
ElectricCommander manages software production complexity, which helps development teams fully exploit the scalability advantages of virtualized environments. Microsoft System Center and ElectricCommander together create a “self-service” virtual software production lab that:
* Minimizes the effort required to configure and maintain software build and test environments
* Reduces server sprawl
* Improves quality through frequent testing on all target environments and configurations
ElectricCommander , with support for Microsoft System Center virtual infrastructure is available immediately.
