Educomp Solutions has signed an agreement with the Department of Tribal, SC/ST Development, Government of Chhatisgarh for implementation of Computer Aided Education in 323 hostels for Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe Pre Matric / Post Matric students across eight districts in the State of Chattisgarh.
Educomp will provide hardware, software and connected accessories in the hostels for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) students in order to enhance their curriculum and IT knowledge through computer aided education and computer literacy. Educomp will also provide multi-media based contents for various subjects for the benefits of the students.
Educomp will manage this project for a period of three years in the state at present and about 30,000 students will benefit from this programme.
Satya Nand Rathia, Minister for Tribal, SC/ST Development, Government of Chhatisgarh said that this is a pioneering initiative of the Government of Chhatisgarh in order to enable the backward children belonging to the SC/ST communities to enhance their knowledge and creativity using information technology and make them more competitive. He also said that the Government is keen to expand this project to the remaining districts of the State.
