Dax Networks in partnership with Perle, a provider of serial and I/O connectivity solutions, is launching IOLAN Secure Device Servers. Priced at Rs 1,40,000/-, the IOLAN Secure Device Server comes with an advanced security functionality to perform serial to Ethernet management and helps maximise uptime for remote equipment.
IOLAN Secure Device Server (SDS) will enable administrators to securely access serial devices such as remote terminal units (RTU), modems, POS, printers, industrial equipment, serial-based COM port, UDP or TCP socket-based applications, medical equipments, serial devices with EIA-232/422/485, network storage equipment and security appliances through an IP network. Available in 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16, port sizes, the IOLAN SDS series is ideal for all the serial application needs.
Delivering high performance in a compact size, IOLAN SDS offers security, flexibility and the next generation IP (IPv6 technology), making it ideal for applications that require remote device/console management, data capture or monitoring. Models are also available with an integrated V.92 modem, support for Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Extended Temperature ranges.
Innovative technology
Perle’s TrueSerial technology delivers serial communications across the Ethernet making IOLAN SDS an advanced ‘serial to Ethernet converter’. Thus IOLAN SDS is an optimum choice for connecting async devices. Perle’s TruePort re-director provides fixed TTY or COM ports to serial-based applications enabling communication with remote devices.
By using encryption technologies, IOLAN SDS protects sensitive and confidential data from a serial device before it is sent across a corporate intranet or the Internet. For compatibility with peer encryption devices, all of the major encryption ciphers such as AES, 3DES; RC4, RC2 and CAST128 are fully supported.
IOLAN SDS comes with lifetime warranty and online support for customers. Dax plans to market this product through its strong channel spread across the country. Customers can also place orders online at www.daxnetworks.com
