Cosmos Bank Chooses Sanovi As DR Partner

Sanovi Technologies, a provider of disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, has partnered with Cosmos Co-Operative Bank to further its commitment to provide quality service to its customers.

Cosmos Bank has deployed Sanovi’s DR solution using Sanovi’s out-of-the-box DR template for Oracle database. The DR solution template deploys industry best practices and recovery workflows, monitors and alerts on over forty conditions, and provides out-of-box automation to do DR drills. Without additional investment in resources, the bank is able to meet its DR Readiness SLAs with the confidence that its core banking application can withstand any DR issues successfully.

“Cosmos Bank’s management considers its investment in technology as an opportunity to differentiate and provide superior customer experience. The bank has implemented Finacle as its core banking software and hence, the central database and applications are a critical part of the bank’s business continuity and disaster recovery plan. To meet set Recovery Point and Recovery Time Objectives, the bank chose to have a remote site that shadows the primary production site,” says Prashant Thakur, GM-IT, Cosmos Co-Operative Bank.

The bank’s IT department articulated its DR requirements as a comprehensive approach to the various phases of the DR Lifecycle including monitoring, automation of recovery, DR Drills and compliance reporting. The bank did not want to invest in DR-specific expertise.
