Compuware Corporation today announced that Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), an analyst firm, cites that Compuware’s acquisition of dynaTrace offers Compuware’s customers capabilities that further enhance Compuware’s capabilities in the application performance management (APM) market.
In the EMA Impact Brief report titled: “Compuware Acquires dynaTrace to Solidify Leadership in Application Service Management,” EMA Vice President, Dennis Drogseth wrote: “Compuware’s enhanced capabilities via dynaTrace look surgically precise from both a technical and a competitive perspective. The acquisition should meaningfully strengthen Compuware against competitors such as CA Technologies and HP with strong pre-deployment offerings, while also helping to expand its strategic value in customer environments seeking broader integrations in process and technology across multiple groups within IT.”
Drogseth goes on to write: “The fact that Compuware was already a strong industry leader in application performance management makes the dynaTrace acquisition all the more impressive. EMA expects the combined capability (dynaTrace and Gomez) to quickly evolve to become a tribute to Compuware’s strategic planning, as well as a service to its customers and a potent stimulus for Compuware’s market growth.”
“EMA’s analysis is just more proof of our continued strength and leadership in the APM market,” said Bruce Reading, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Compuware’s APM business unit. “We have always been extremely proud of the unrivaled value our APM solutions deliver to our customers. Now, through the unique capabilities provided by dynaTrace, the already significant gap between what we can offer compared to what our competitors can offer has widened considerably.”
