With the total addressable market expected to grow to $88 billion by 2017, Indian SMEs look for cloud, analytics and mobile solutions to improve operations and become more efficient, according to a new SAP-sponsored study conducted by Circle Research Global Report.
The rising ambitions of SMEs that cater to diverse expectations of employers, the workplace and the market itself, are forcing them to completely reconsider traditional business models and adopt cutting edge technologies like cloud.

About 90 percent SMEs in India feel cloud adoption is increasingly important for enabling business success. Additionally, 87 percent of very ambitious Indian SMEs believe enterprise applications, ana-lytics and mobile solutions will play an important role in achieving their ambitions.
The biggest single ambition for SMEs in India is customer success (44 percent), followed by 34 per-cent who are keen on achieving growth and 12 percent for business improvement.
Nearly 76 person of those for whom achieving growth is an ambition give high importance to in-troducing new products while 74 percent focus on increasing revenue.
On average, Indian SMEs are 77 percent of the way along to journey to being ready for achieving their growth ambitions, the study claims.
In order to help SMEs address this requirement and fuel their growth, SAP India has unveiled the SAP Innovation Express – a pan-India bus roadshow that will help Indian enterprises gain more in-sights into the power of SAP solutions and services to achieve business excellence. The multi-city tour, aims to empower SMEs to adopt brand new innovations in cloud, mobility, analytics and big data.
