CA Technologies Names Peter Griffiths To Head Technology, Development

CA Technologies has announced that Peter Griffiths has been named Executive Vice President of its Technology and Development Group. Griffiths, who has more than 20 years experience in research and development, will join CA Technologies at the end of May and will report directly to CEO Bill McCracken.

“Peter Griffiths is exactly the right executive to lead our development efforts in this rapidly changing technology environment,” McCracken said. “His extensive software development experience and ability to foster collaboration across multiple disciplines will be key to our efforts to build out our solutions offerings for cloud, distributed and mainframe environments. Our strong internal development coupled with key acquisitions over the 18 months, have given us one of the strongest management and security software portfolios in the industry. It is Peter’s charge to work with our Customer Solutions Group and sales team to further improve that portfolio to continually meet the needs of our customers.”

Griffiths comes to CA Technologies from IBM where for the past two years he has been Vice President of Worldwide Research and Development Business, Analytics and Applications. At IBM, he also has held the post of Vice President, Products, IBM Cognos Software.
