Sify Launches Managed Security Services

Sify Technologies has launched Managed Security services,which will be powered by Security Operations Center(SOC) based in Bangalore.

Speaking exclusively with Biztech2.0, Executive President for Enterprise Solutions, P.J.Nath said, “We are the first telecom provider to have a security offering with a 24x7 Monitoring and Managing services, with SOC as our backbone.” The SOC will also offer value added services like Vulnerability Protection, Compliance Monitoring and Forensic Services.

“The wide range of security services is in addition to the already existing enterprise portfolio, that range from connectivity, hosting, and applications” said Shrikant Shitole, VP Sales (Enterprise Business).

SIfy’s MSS will help customers secure information assets and preempt secuiry threats, ensure 24x7 managed secuirty for their mission critical assets with guranteed SLAs and with compliance management.

The SOC is already equipped with the platform, resources and manpower for the security services needs of both domestic and global customers. It can remotely monitor and also have an onsite presence for any client opting for the offering. " Inspite of being early in the space,we already have a few beta customers who are not necessarily large enterprises and will slowly move on to the SMB sector," said Sify CTO Bhaskar Sayyaparaju.
