SafeNet, a player in the information security space, has announced that its Luna SA and Luna PCI hardware security modules (HSMs) that increase data security and reduce the complexity of compliance for enterprises and government organisations are now certified as interoperable with the latest versions of RSA Key Manager software, including RSA Key Manager with Application Encryption and RSA Key Manager for the Data Centre. This technical interoperability has been recently certified through the RSA Secured Partner Program managed by RSA, The Security Division of EMC.
RSA Key Manager is a system that is designed to ease the management burden of encryption keys and lower the total cost of ownership associated with encryption projects. The technical interoperability of SafeNet’s Luna SA and Luna PCI HSMs with RSA Key Manager helps joint enterprise customers to build stronger security by storing their server’s master cryptographic keys within a FIPS-validated hardware solution.
“SafeNet’s Luna SA and Luna PCI HSMs help to resolve any potential risk of exposure in key management software by keeping the keys in a secured appliance away from the data,” said Derek Tumulak, vice president, product management, SafeNet. “Because our HSMs are FIPS 140-2 Level 3 and Common Criteria EAL 4+ validated, they also help our joint customers meet regulatory requirements, including PCI DSS.”
