Juniper Networks, recently announced that it has teamed up with a wide range of network security partners to deliver network access control with its Unified Access Control (UAC) solution.
The partnership brings a wide range of vendors collaborating on services such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Authentication, Authorization and Auditing (AAA) solutions, vulnerability management, secure content management, security information and event management, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) vendors.
Juniper’s UAC solution claims to solve the problem of balancing access controls and threat mitigation, as the enterprise networks grow increasingly complex.
By binding user identity, endpoint integrity and location information with access controls, the UAC solution allows for dynamic policy management that can be enforced in real-time throughout the network.
Juniper’s solution interoperates with endpoint security solutions via the Trusted Computing Group’s Trusted Network Connect (TNC) open specifications and custom APIs.
“By providing interoperability with a wide range of security solutions via open standards such as the TNC open specifications and our own custom APIs, Juniper Networks enables enterprises to develop and enforce the most effective access control policies,” said Matt Kolon, Asia Pacific CTO, Juniper Networks.
