Champion Unveils High Power UPS

Aar-em Electronics, a Pune based manufacturer of the CHAMPION brand of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) announced the launch of High Power UPS in the 10 to 20KVA range in addition to the existing range of products targeted toward IT, BPO, telecom, pharmaceutical, commercial process systems in the process industry, data centers, industrial automation, broadcasting & telecommunications systems and financial applications.

Ranjit Mohite, managing director said, “This is a major achievement for Aar-em who can now boast to have the entire range of power protection starting from 0.5KVA to 20KVA. This is an exciting development for the entire industry. This initiative will build on the trust that Champion consumers already have on the brand.”

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

The new High Power Series features a double conversion design that completely isolates output power from all input power anomalies and delivers sine-wave output.

According to the company this new UPS also features the smallest footprint in its class, offering 35 to 50 percent space savings over major competitors’ units. Front panel access for all services and operation provides IT and facility managers with increased flexibility.

Further, the customers will now have advantage of having a single source supply for the entire range of power protection equipment and benefit of optimal technology at an affordable price point that also provides maximum value on investment.

Mohite expressed that, over the last one year the company has put concerted efforts to be visible in the media and the channel fraternity via articles, product evaluations and advertisements. While this has definitely given the much-needed awareness, the company is putting more efforts to get closer to the channel through direct contacts, focused seminars, and customer interaction.

Champion has opened new service centers in unrepresented areas. Currently, Aar-em is present at 22 locations across the country for service support and is expecting to double its customer base with proposed new service centers.

Aar-em group revenues for the year 2006-07 are projected at around 17 crores only from small power UPS sales. Aar-ems revenues will grow manifold due to the introduction of High Power UPS’s where pricing of products would be significantly higher than the small UPS’s thus increasing topline rapidly.
