Travel XP Chooses IBM To Run Online Travel & Ticketing Portal

Travel XP aims to leverage the strength of IBM Software and Hardware platform running its portal application to give enhanced experience to customers accessing its portal.

Travel XP Chooses IBM To Run Online Travel & Ticketing Portal

Travel XP India Private Limited, a new entrant in online travel service provider segment has signed a deal with IBM for BladeCenter and IBM DB2 technologies to host its online travel and ticketing portal. Travel XP aims to leverage the strength of IBM Software and Hardware platform running its portal application to give enhanced experience to customers accessing its portal.

The company evaluated multiple technology solution providers for its IT infrastructure to run the portal application provided by Verchaska Software and finally settled with IBM due to the high performing features, scalability and reliability provided by the IBM x-Series BladeCenter and IBM DB2 for database.

“After evaluating several technologies, we decided that IBM’s solution was adding tremendous value to our business in terms of the advanced architecture, and the level of service that we were promised. IBM’s support and advice in executing this project has been of great help and we are glad that we chose to move on with IBM,” added Prashant Chothani, MD, Travel XP India.
