Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, introduced its Liebert CRV, a precision cooling unit that fits seamlessly within a row of racks to deliver cooling close to the server heat source in the Indian market.
The rack-size Liebert CRV is a row-based, precision cooling system that provides focused cooling close to the heat source. Its advanced technologies such as digital scroll compressor, EC fan, adjustable airflow baffles, Intelligent iCOM controller and environmental friendly R410a refrigerant reduce energy consumption and ensure optimal rack conditions.
Placed in a “hot aisle - cold aisle” layout, Liebert CRV draws air from the hot aisle, and delivers it to the cold aisle, to the front of servers. Cooled air can be directed to the right, to the left or to both sides, as required, by means of integrated adjustable air flow baffles. Through integrated iCOM controller, it constantly monitors the heat load generated by the IT equipment and regulates the unit accordingly to save energy.
Liebert CRV is designed for both new and existing datacentres with and without raised floor. Liebert CRV is available from 20kW and 35kW cooling capacity in air-cooled, water cooled and glycol cooled configuration and 40KW cooling capacity in CW configuration in a single frame.
“Whether it’s the need to squeeze more equipment into their IT spaces or minimise impact on the environment, datacentre managers are driven by a mandate to reduce operational cost and power consumption. To address this need, Emerson Network Power designed Liebert CRV, the most energy efficient and exclusive solution from our stable. It is unique in its ability to adapt to the load by providing the exact level of cooling required by the servers by modulating the cooling capacity from10-100%,” said BB.
