Dax Networks Launches DX-5048GSE

Dax Networks has launched DX-5048GSE, a high performance Layer 2 Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch, targeted at mid-sized and large enterprises. DX-5048GSE offers IPv6 and network management functions such as SNMP, RMON, and Standard CLI via console and web based management. This switch has 48 10/100/1000 Base–T ports and 4 Gigabit SFP shared ports.

DX-5048GSE provides IPv6, the specification for which has been designed with scalability and backward compatibility in mind. To enable customers to protect their networks and services from unauthorised access, DX-5048GSE comes with multiple security algorithms such as Port Security, SSH, Web Management Encryption, RADIUS and TACACS+.

To make network expansion over long distance possible, DX-5048GSE offers simultaneous functional 4 gigabit ports. On addition of transceivers, the switch enables up to 80 km of fiber connectivity.

DX-5048GSE comes with a 3-year carry-in warranty and online support to its customers. Dax plans to market this product through its system integrators and channel presence.
