Bridging the gap between unmanaged and managed switches, Web Smart Switches provide novice and expert administrators alike with a wide array of options for keeping their network running securely and efficiently. The included web management interface and SmartConsole utility provide an intuitive system for administrators to manage a mid-sized network that might otherwise present a challenge.

Web Smart Switches strengthen security through the use of access control lists (ACL), ensuring that sensitive network resources are restricted only to authorised users. Web Smart Switches detect and block intruders that attempt to sniff data or send fake ARP packets that could disrupt network traffic.

This defense mechanism allows the switch to remain operable even while under attack. These switches are also robust enough to screen rogue DHCP server packets to prevent unauthorized IP assignments.
A Web Smart Switch can be deployed as a primary core for optimal performance, giving administrators control over security, bandwidth, and topology. Alternatively, these switches can be deployed at the network edge to manage and eliminate bandwidth constraints while enhancing security. Regardless of the installation scenario, reliability is ensured through Loopback Detection (LBD) and cable diagnostics.
