Juniper Networks, the network innovation provider, has announced that financial planning and investment advisory firm Bajaj Capital has deployed an integrated wired and wireless campus network running on the Juniper Networks Junos operating system. The Juniper Networks solution enables Bajaj Capital Group to increase network performance and availability at its head office, while increasing security and reducing its operating costs.
With its entire network infrastructure running on Junos, Bajaj Capital is able to simplify its management and apply fine-grained security and quality-of-service control across wired and wireless networks.
The new network is built around a core of Juniper Networks EX4200 Ethernet Switches linked with Virtual Chassis technology, which supports the Bajaj Capital server farm that runs the company’s core SAP business applications, a suite of financial planning applications, the on-line broking system, a web-based customer trading platform and office automation systems.
Network access is provided through EX2200 Ethernet Switches and AX411 Wireless LAN (WLAN) Access Points controlled by SRX Series Services Gateways, which consolidate separate security requirements like firewall and Unified Threat Management onto a single platform.
Together with the ability to manage the wireless APs, Bajaj Capital is able to manage its infrastructure and security more effectively while delivering fast and consistent service quality.
Bajaj Capital’s customer base serves more than a million individual investors and over 3,000 institutional clients. It offers customers “360° Financial Planning,” investment research, securities, funds and insurance both online and through a network of over 200 investment centres around India.
