IDC MarketScape Names Avaya A Leader in UC And Collab

Avaya has announced that it has been named a leader in the new IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) 2013 Vendor Analysis. Avaya was recognised for its ability to address a wider set of customer challenges and for its unique approach to UC&C through Avaya Aura, which leverages SIP architecture to simplify networks and connect users at every location.

The IDC MarketScape highlighted the increasing interest from businesses looking to implement videoconferencing, mobility, rich collaboration and business process solutions across their workforces. The report also highlighted the key challenges businesses face when looking to adopt UC&C, which include:

• Identification of the features, applications and tools most appropriate for the organisation.
• Sourcing vendor-partners who provide those selected features, applications and tools.
• Integrating those key features to make them run on custaomers’ existing networks and/or within the bounds of existing services.
