BMC Software has announced the release of BMC ProactiveNet Analytics, an “early warning system” that delivers preemptive, service-aware Business Service Management (BSM) for IT operations.
BMC ProactiveNet Analytics claims to detect and prioritise problems before they impact business-critical applications, service level objectives, or end users. BMC ProactiveNet Analytics teaches itself about the customer’s environment and then automatically adapts to subsequent changes. This eliminates the need for IT staff to manually create and maintain rules-based thresholds.
“IT organisations spend an exorbitant amount of time and resources trying to understand and prioritize the sheer number of events that clog IT operations consoles on daily, even hourly basis,” said Roy Ritthaler, director, Product Management, Distributed Systems Management, BMC Software. “BMC ProactiveNet Analytics zeros in on relevant IT issues and reduces service level non-compliance times dramatically; all while providing insight into exactly how performance degradations are affecting business processes.”
Aligned with concepts outlined in the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, BMC ProactiveNet Analytics integrates with multiple third-party event solutions, leveraging existing IT investments and providing the flexibility organisations require to manage their complex IT infrastructures.
